Supreme Court Society Event - 5/18 The NH Supreme Court Society will present its third Life & Liberty Award to Georgia Congressman John Lewis on Friday, May 18, at 5:30 p.m. at the NH Supreme Court in Concord.
Congressman Lewis was a leader of the civil rights movement in the 1960s alongside Martin Luther King, Jr., and is the only surviving speaker from the 1963 March on Washington. At the May 18 event, the society will also present a Life & Liberty Award posthumously to Jonathan Daniels, an Episcopal seminarian from Keene killed during his work in the civil rights movement.
