Taxing Nonprofits on NHPR - Tonight @ 8 p.m.
NH Public Radio's program The Exchange discuses taxing nonprofit organizations tonight at 8:00 p.m. The program will also be available online at www.nhpr.org.

In New Hampshire, nonprofits are protected from paying taxes, but some local governments looking to generate more income may try to end the practice. The Exchange looks at the latest battles around taxing nonprofits, how we define these organizations and who if any should contribute more to their town or city.

Guests on the program will be:

Lew Feldstein, NH Charitable Fund, offers perspectives from and discussions on the nonprofit sector.

Atty. Martin Gross, of Sulloway and Hollis looks at the issue from various legal perspectives.

Patrice Scott, Plymouth Selectwoman.
