Civics in Action
Ambassadors of the Civics In Action Program will have an opportunity to brush up on what they have learned about the program on Tuesday, February 28 from 4-6 p.m. at the Bar Center.

Attorneys who are interested in becoming Ambassadors of the Civics in Action Program are invited to join us to learn more about the program.

The Civics In Action mission of meeting with all 58 Rotary Clubs in NH is winding down and slated to end on May 1, 2012. If you are interested in learning more and want to take part in this mission, please attend the meeting on February 28. Contact LRE CoordinatorRobin E. Knippers for more information.

The NH Bar Foundation and the NH Bar Association are collaborating on a civics education and awareness initiative that brings a presentation based on a test that all applicants for naturalization must pass. The presentations pose the question: Do most citizens know enough about US government to pass this test themselves? What does that say about our level of awareness as citizens in a democracy?

This year, Civics in Action is focusing on making entertaining, informative, interactive presentations to EVERY Rotary Club in New Hampshire between Constitution Day and Law Day on May 1, 2012.

Can You Pass the Test?
This is a link to self-study tool. The actual civics test is NOT a multiple choice test. The civics test is an oral test. During a naturalization interview, the candidate is asked up to 10 questions from the list of 100 questions. At least 6 out of 10 questions must be answered correctly to pass the civics portion of the naturalization test.
